We’re a small, senior team building diagnostic-grade AI on nanopore sequencing. If that sounds like the problem you want to work on, read on.
Models are judged by their recall around real break sites, not F1 on synthetic toys. Every line of code ships against a biological benchmark.
Small teams, short review cycles, no heroics. We optimize for compounding progress, not sprints that burn people out.
Documented experiments, documented decisions. Async-friendly so the deep-work block comes first and the meeting comes second.
Senior ICs drive scope. Managers remove blockers, not set direction. Reviews every 6 months, transparent levelling, no secret bands.
Remote-first with quarterly in-person onsites.
Drive partnerships, fundraising, regulatory strategy, and clinical rollout. Background: prior biotech exec, strong oncology / diagnostics network.
Own financial planning, fundraising, and grant accounting. Comfortable with R&D tax credits, UKRI / EU grants, and pre-seed-to-Series-A modelling.
Lead ML, model-ops and clinical-data infrastructure. Senior ML / data leadership in genomics, diagnostics or healthcare AI.
Build the quality system: SOPs, validation, document control, audit-readiness. ISO 13485 / 17025 / GxP background, prior QA leadership in diagnostics, biotech or pharma.
Build and validate nanopore break-detection assays. PhD in molecular biology / biochemistry / genomics, hands-on with nanopore or short-read sequencing.
Bench scientist for sample processing, SOP development, and platform support. MSc/BSc in biology / biochemistry / genetics with 1–3 years lab experience.

Roadmap input from day one. Your models ship. Your name on the papers.
$3,000 a year for books, conferences, courses. Anything that makes you better.
Two technical screens, one scientific deep-dive, one team-fit round. We share interview questions ahead of time. Decisions in under three weeks from first contact.
